Google is known for redefining what a modern workplace should look like. Their first office outside the United States of America was opened in Tokyo, Japan in 2001. And since then, the company has opened more than a dozen in Asia alone.
India
In India, Google has four branches. You shouldn’t wonder about that because India being the fastest growing economy has become one of the most sought-after technology hubs around the world.
Bangalore
Google occupies the 4th and 5th floor of RMZ Infinity Tower E in Madras Road, Bangalore.
Gurgaon
The new Google office in Gurgaon is definitely the coolest place to work in. Just like the rest of Google offices, it offers a colorful interior design with cafeteria and recreational area. It is located in Gurgaon’s Unitech Signature Tower-2 building. It occupies eight floors of the building.
Hyderabad
Google Hyderabad is the largest campus in India with a total of 6,500 employees. The beautifully designed office is complete with a library, cafeteria, micro-kitchens, gaming lounge, massage centers, and gym!
Mumbai

Next to India with the most number of Google offices in China. Although the company doesn’t have a very agreeable relationship with the Chinese government, they opted to open a new office in Shanghai. Because of content control, Google Play is not available in China, Google Drive was blocked minutes after it was launched, while Google Checkout and Google+ are on and off.
Shanghai
The new Shanghai office is located at the 60th and 61st floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC).
Shenzhen
Google’s new office is located in China’s Silicon Valley. Google Shenzhen will start as a co-working space.
Beijing
Google also has an office in the Beijing Fortune Center.
Hong Kong
Because most of Google’s services were blocked by the Great Firewall in China, Google decided to shut down its search engines in mainland China and moved all Google search sites to Hong Kong in 2010. Just like other Google offices, it serves a free lunch buffet for its stuff and a pantry full of snacks and drinks. Its conference rooms were named after Hong Kong’s streets and attractions. The wall is decorated with bamboo. The entertainment room has football machines and building blocks and XBOX 360, PS3 game consoles and huge TVs. Google Hong Kong also has a sound absorbing room where employees can sleep when they get tired.
Tokyo
As mentioned earlier, Google’s first office outside the US was in Japan. After 16 years, Google announced its plan to open a new office in Shibuya, Tokyo this year. Currently, Google Japan has an office in Roppongi Hills Mori Tower in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
Jakarta

Kuala Lumpur
Google’s office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is nature inspired with plant sprouting ceilings and realistic forest screens. It also has a cave-like boardroom with stalactites and it even has playground swings in the café. Just like other Google offices, it has a wide open space which is meant to nurture collaborations where everyone could interact. It is also complete with amenities including a colorful snack bar and arcade with chess pieces on the ceilings and tires for seats.
